Another year, another decade and here we are in 2020. Also known as the last year of my twenties!
It’s been a few weeks since I last posted and to be honest I’ve not really had much to post about! Work, rain and more work. That’s all I can recall of the last couple of weeks. Not the best start to 2020 but I have some great things lined up for this year.
Normally it’s around this time that I blog about my last year and my goals for the new year. Funnily enough this is the first time I’m entering the new year without really any goals.
I finally learnt to drive, bought a house and travelled to the places I wanted to. So, for the first time I feel rather content.
2020 I’ve decided to focus on self care and me. I’m going to use my money to treat myself and take care of a few things I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
I have a lot of trips planned for this year all leading up to my big birthday in August. I’m looking forward to visiting some new places and these holidays are already booked and planned so I’ve already done all the legwork.
As the new year kicks in, so does the realisation that I have only months left of my twenties! I’m not freaked out or scared, if anything I’m excited as it begins a new chapter of my life.
My twenties and the last decade were all about travel and whilst I’m sure the next 10 years will bring that to, I imagine it’ll be rather different.
So here’s to the next 10 years and all it may bring!
Happy New Year from me to you!
Happy New Year Sophie. You had a pretty busy 2019 with a lot of exploring didn’t you? If 2020 is half as good you’ll have a brilliant year. And the end of your twenties is no bug deal, your thirties are where it’s all at!

Hi Sophie. I am working very hard on my 2019 goal to learn Spanish. I have extended it into 2020 as it is very challenging. I noticed that learning a language is one of your goals. .Que tal?

Aw I am doing so badly! I stopped practicing in like November and haven’t continued! I really need to start again! I don’t know why I can’t seem to get motivated to continue with anything at the moment, how are you teaching yourself? Any methods or resources you can recommend at all please? 🙂

I liked Coffee Break Spanish and Duolingo to start. Being frustrated means your learning. That keeps me going.
