As I’ve gotten older, my travel style has altered and expanded in to new territory as the years have passed. So naturally my blog has changed along the way too..
About So Beau
I used to be all about solo travel and my website focused predominantly on backpacking. As did my life!
I’d stay in hostels and blog about budget travel. Of course, I still highly recommend this and it has shaped the person I am today. There is no doubt that I will continue to backpack where possible too.
My site was rebranded from the name One Sophie – One Backpack in 2019, so you still might see references to this throughout previous blog posts.
My blog focuses now on a variety of different styles of travel. I do a lot of couple/friends city breaks around Europe. I spend many days in the UK visiting different attractions and doing various walking trails. And most importantly, we now have a dog! So I also blog about dog friendly places you can visit and walks done with her.
This is a very different style of travel compared with backpacking however adventurous all the same. I love a bit of variety in my life.
Not only that, but when I started blogging, I was turning 20. I’m now this year about to turn 30 and as you can imagine my taste has changed.
So follow my adventures if you want to learn about places to visit in the UK, international travel and where to take your mutt!
I’m writing this post to give readers an idea of what to expect from my blog. I’d also like to introduce you to Newkee, the Husky Cross Carpathian Shepherd born in April 2019.
She will be coming away more often with us, especially on day trips and weekend breaks. So if you are interested in dog friendly places to visit then stay tuned for some of my features.
I’m based in Yorkshire and originally from here so I do love the place. There is such a wide variety of places to visit here so I never get tired of writing about all the different options on my doorstep!
So if you are interested in reading about places worth visiting then I look forward to sharing them with you! I hope 2020 and the next decade bring as much adventure as the last.
