If you are visiting Salou and want a bit of beauty and exercise rolled in to one then why not try walking from Salou to Cap Salou?
There is a beautiful coastal path that gives you far reaching views of beaches and the ocean as you walk.
The whole path is signposted with details of how much further you have left to walk. So it’s easy enough to stay on track!
The distance from one end to the other looks to be around 5km. I’d have loved to do the whole thing but on our hottest day of the holiday with not quite enough time to finish the walk, I had to cut it short. At least next year I can go back and finish it!
I actually walked from Hotel Villamarina Club, through Salou Town centre and back past PortAventura World.
If you stick to the coastal path you’ll wind around a beautiful coastal edge.
There is even some pretty beaches for you to stop off and relax on during the way.

My favourite part was how quiet the path was and just some of the beautiful views out in to the ocean.
You’ll even find a few lonely seats to rest your legs along the way…
Plus if you pack your swim gear there are a few rocky beaches below that look very secluded.
If you’re visiting Salou and want to get out of the same old tourist spots in the centre with the British pubs and samey gift shops, I’d highly recommend you give this walk a try!
Walking through such a peaceful area admiring the view had me thinking about retirement. I know it is such a long way off for me and probably most of us but how amazing would it be to wake up with this view from your apartment every day?
Perhaps one day I’ll swap my countryside view for an ocean one?
