Welcome to my travel space!

In short, I am a Yorkshire girl who loves walking, adventure and taking photographs of beautiful things. This blog is perfect for those looking for inspiration on places to visit. I visit a lot of places in the UK with my dog Newkee and I love to discover new hikes and attractions in the country.

I am originally from the small town of Ilkley in West Yorkshire, England and currently still live very close to here; although I do move around a lot. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Journalism from Leeds Metropolitan University in July 2013 and then entered the world of work…But before I did so, I did some travelling and now I can’t stop!

In 2016 I quit my office job to embark on my biggest adventure yet. I set off on a one way round the world trip crossing India, parts of South-East Asia and touching down in Australia where I spent 2 months travelling around New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Northern Territory & Queensland. The trip ended via Hawaii and Los Angeles.

I’ve lived in both Florida-USA, Wisconsin-USA and London- UK before and I will move to wherever life takes me in the future.

I love animals and photography but I’d say my favourite hobby is exploring.. I just love going for hikes or on road trips; discovering new places and just simply having fun. Not to mention my love for cycling. The best way to see a new city is definitely to hire a bike and really explore the place.

So far I’ve visited just 38 countries including 14 states of the USA and the District of Columbia. I hope this number will get a lot higher but since I fund all my travelling alone, I can’t get away too often. My ideal location I’d like to visit is China!
I’m a very ambitious person, you won’t meet many people as determined as I am when it comes to getting everything crossed off the ‘bucket list’. I have a goal of visiting as many countries as I have lived in years. The aim of hitting 50 before I turn 50!… So let’s see how that goes 🙂
