Family Travel : The next chapter

This year I’m making it a point to go on as many family-friendly adventures as I can! With a very large dog and a tiny toddler to please it’s made my travel style very different from my backpacking solo days.

January 2025’s snowy spells

So this year I’m hunting down the best activities I can find in the UK. Focusing on bargain deals in particular; I want to head to as many places we can squeeze in! This involves a hefty chunk of planning- which is my speciality.

With having a young child it’s no secret that we are on a shoestring budget as most families are. With our daughter being so young it means we can get her into a lot of places for free which is great! So we are making the most of this whilst she’s young.

Last year we took her to Sundown Adventureland for her 1st birthday and absolutely loved it. (I hope to blog about the park sometime as I highly recommend this to anyone with a little one!) We’ve been to numerous beaches, a Park Dean caravan holiday, endless softplay centres and a few animal places since she was born. Having a child definitely changes the dynamics but in many ways it makes everything more fun! I am already mega excited for the things we have planned for the start of this year.

So I’m on the constant lookout for new places to go and recommendations on those child-friendly hidden gems! Can you help?? Please comment if you’d like to suggest somewhere.

I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve said I want to get back into blogging so maybe I should just stop saying it and start doing it! Stay tuned for family-friendly expeditions this year and a belated Happy New Year to all my followers! May your 2025 be filled with excitement and adventure.
