Wrapping up 2016

Getting closer to the end of 2016 makes me look back on my biggest year of travel so far. This year I’m so happy to have finally taken the plunge and go on a one way trip around the world. My trip stretched across 4 continents, many many cities and even a few countries I’d never been to before! What I’m most proud about is backpacking 100s of miles around Australia, camping in the outback, trekking mountains and snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef. Memories I’ll never ever forget! It was a lot tougher than I expected but possibly not as tough as coming home and settling back into a routine and getting used to the rainy UK weather!

Nevertheless, my travels will always continue. For now, I’ve reached that point in my life where it’s time for me to concentrate on the ‘boring’ stuff. Whilst my blog may be quiet for a few months on the trip front I do still post regularly and I am always wanting to talk about travel, so if you have any questions about international programmes or places you want to visit please drop me a message!

For now I have a few things I want to do over the next few months as I move in to my new home in January with my partner. A fresh start for 2017! I still have some travel goals amongst other goals for next year so will post my annual resolutions shortly.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and a fab 2016! Here’s to next year being even more adventurous!
