Ubud Monkey Forest

To begin with I was definitely skeptical about visiting here. The reviews on Tripadvisor did not sound good and they scared me a little as I’ve not had my rabies jabs. Id also seen monkeys at Padang Padang beach and they creeped me out.

When I reached the monkey temple however it was amazing. Monkeys everywhere! I sat on a wall and a monkey came over and sat on my shoulder. Wasn’t sure what to do so I just sat and waited for him to jump off. You have to be careful with the monkeys as they can be aggressive and bite or scratch.

We walked around the forest for a while and I saw some hilarious monkeying around! I even had one crawl up my leg and onto my back, I attempted a monkey selfie:
