Saying goodbye.

This week is full of a lot of goodbyes. Goodbye to my last DC sunset, goodbye to the harbor, goodbye to frozen custard but most importantly, goodbye to good friends.

It’s a sad time but also an exciting one as my adventure does not end here.

I’ve met some amazing people on my gap year so far and I’m sure I will continue to do so over the next few weeks.

The photo above is of a few of us that work at Julie’s. We went out for frozen custard as after I leave, most others go back to their own countries too- Romania and Bulgaria.

Also this week, I had a farewell night out but I can’t say too much about it as it was a disaster ending up with me and my friend with our heads down the toilet being sick all night and all of the following day.. Couldn’t even make it in to work! But never mind, you only live once.

Tomorrow I’ll say goodbye to my American host mom and go to my last event in Door County- baseball and sports I think it is.

Thursday will be my last shift at Julie’s followed by my last Market shift on Saturday. And then I leave, Sunday morning..

Super excited to get back on the road. Just booked a 3hr bike trek around the city of Chicago for next Monday!
