Introducing (one of) the newest kids on the block… Ruby’s! Whilst it might sound like yet another café to add to the never-ending list of coffee spots in Pudsey, Ruby’s isn’t just a café. In fact, Ruby’s is doing something that I’ve yet to find any other place doing. It’s ticking a lot of boxes! So let’s find out why…

Ever find yourself unsure of what to drink? Are you super indecisive like me? On a night out and fancy a hot drink? Want to sit in a café but don’t drink coffee? Better yet.. Want the comfort of a café but with the ability to order a pint? Well this place has you covered!
You can absolutely do all of the above. And yes, I have done all of the above.

Ruby’s opened at the end of 2025 with a unique offering of hot & soft drinks, specialty drinks, pulled pints and most alcoholic drinks you can think of including unique and delicious cocktails!

The best part? It’s dog friendly!

Okay, this might not be the best part for some of you. But for the owner of a giant husky cross carpathian shepherd who can’t fit the dog through the door of most cafes – This is such a bonus for me!
How I didn’t get a photo of my pooch living her best life in Ruby’s I do not know! Looks like I will need to return.

Being able to bring our dog along for a night out recently was a great plus. Myself and a large group of friends complete with giant mutt were all able to squeeze into the corner one busy Saturday evening. We drank delicious cocktails and enjoyed the sound of live music – Always a bonus!

When Ruby’s first opened, I visited right at the start when they were finding their feet. I enjoyed a delicious festive drink and swore I would return.

So here I am back again for my 3rd visit and I’m impressed with how much the place has developed over the last few months. The beautiful decor is shining!

The Wednesday deal got me through the door but the music had me staying!

I might make a comment about the music being too loud if they weren’t playing some absolute bangers! But I walked in to Ruby’s to Genesis (my favourite band) followed by Hotel California (my favourite song) moving on to 4 Non Blondes. Honestly, the epic music choice was enough to make me want to order a gin and stay for a party! Especially once Michael Jackson started, you could have got me busting a move on the stone floor, cocktail-in-hand if it wasn’t 3pm and my car parked around the corner ready for the nursery run!

Although, I did cave a little and treated myself to the interesting sounding Rosé Aspell – It did not disappoint.

The selection of options here when it comes to drinks is a major selling point. I’ve never been able to enjoy both a great brew AND a cocktail or pint in the same place without being in a restaurant or abroad. I really think this is a unique offering for Pudsey and the surrounding areas.
The atmosphere here is second to none. I’ve done well trying out a lot of the local spots here and so far this is my favourite for what it offers. At times the bar even has food on offer from Growlers across the way.

I love the history of this place too, the interior really needs to be seen to be admired. The place pays tribute to its pre-decesser too. I believe World’s End was the bar opposite this one but within the same historical Booth’s Yard. Truth be told, I’m not from Pudsey originally so I don’t know the story behind this. Do you?

Overall, this is a great new local business to bring to the area. Pudsey in West Yorkshire is definitely getting it’s fair share of awesome new establishments over the years and I can’t wait to see what’s next! But for now, get yourself down to Ruby’s and be spoilt for choice! You will not regret it.

Do you know more about the history of this building? Have you visited before or do you want to? Drop me a comment – I’d love to hear from you!
