This Easter weekend we headed back to the coastal town of Lowestoft in Suffolk.
I’ve visited this place many times but I last blogged about it back in 2019.
I didn’t expect that it would have improved at all but I gave it another chance just in case.
Of course we didn’t travel all the way down from Yorkshire just to take a chance on Lowestoft.. We are staying at Parkdean Kessingland Beach for the Easter break to celebrate my grans 90th birthday. I’ve never spent so much time in Suffolk and I’m looking forward to exploring more of the coast.

A 7 minute drive from our caravan to Lowestoft, we headed here to stock up on food for the week since there is a collection of supermarkets to choose from.
After parking up, we took a short stroll into Lowestoft. This time we decided to walk away from town and back along the sea front. I must admit, I don’t ever remember seeing this part of Lowestoft on previous visits.

I was really hoping we might come across a little hidden gem that would improve my opinion of this town but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. We even gave two pubs a try, one of them was nothing special and the other we walked out before we were even seated it was that slow!
We ventured along the coastal path for a little while but the spring weather was surprisingly chilly with the sea breeze.

I am looking forward to venturing away from Lowestoft and finding some better spots to explore. Perhaps we have been unlucky with the weather and it has always made the town look a little bleak.

The beach sand was looking pristine on the walk at least!
I think it’s safe to say I won’t need to come back here again anytime soon.
Have you been to Lowestoft before? Am I missing something?
