Vienna came across as a very arty city, especially when it comes to street art.
I learnt that artists have permission to line the embankment walls of the Danube canal with graffiti to keep graffiti off the streets of Vienna. So along this 10 mile stretch you can find pieces of art work everywhere. Very much like the stretch of Berlin Wall, every piece is unique.
Due to the weather I only had chance to walk a short stretch of the route however what I did see was pretty cool. I’d recommend if you have the time then take a stroll across the bank as there are also lots of restaurants and musicians performing at night.
