I planned a surprise trip for my partners birthday. He’s never been out of Europe before and I wanted to make his 30th birthday memorable! What better way than to travel around South East Asia! Starting from Bangkok and exploring Cambodia and Vietnam.

I booked a G Adventures tour through STA Travel, one I’ve had my eye on for a while. I was originally due to do this tour last year as part of my round the world trip but dropped out due to money, now I’m glad I did so I could do it this time around. The tour is called Cambodia on a Shoestring and takes you from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh via Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Mekong and Can Tho.

We’re over halfway in to the tour now so let me tell you about what we’ve been up to so far!
