For anyone new to my blog, I want to tell you a little about me and what I’m about to embark on!

My name is Sophie and I’m a 25 year old Journalism graduate. I recently became unemployed when I decided to leave my job to take the trip I’ve been dreaming about my whole life.

Tonight, (yep leaving today!) I will be catching my flight from London to India to make the first stop on my round the world trip.

This trip will be the 10th solo trip I have taken since I began in 2009. So I’m no stranger to travelling alone. However I do feel much more nervous about this one and it is the fear of the unknown that gets me. I have no solid plan once I reach Australia and not knowing where I will end up or when I will return is the scary part but it is also part of the adventure! I know that once I board that plane.. Everything will just feel right.

So far I have 4 stops planned including Mumbai, Bangkok, Singapore and Sydney. From there.. Who knows. But I will make the most of every second and return to England a much wiser person I’m sure.
