Well, it’s been a whole week (nearly) since I returned from Disneyland Paris! Infact, I was at the airport waiting for our delayed flight to board right this minute 7 days ago. A very busy few days with the mouse really got me feeling the exhaustion by the end…

It’s safe to say I have thought about Disney every day since we returned. In fact, i’ve even been trying my hardest to find an affordable deal for us to return again in the next few months. Turns out, this is a silly idea and I need to just move on! The last thing I want to do is ruin a perfectly fun trip by going back sooner than I need to…. Right??
So why can’t I stop thinking about Disney?

Well, besides the fact we had an incredible time, I can’t help but feel we have so much unfinished business. Despite us visiting June 2025 and returning for this trip less than a year later, I feel like we did so much less this time. I know we didn’t of course but what we did was just different..
Going with a recently turned 2 year old that barely spoke vs a nearly 3 year old is a totally different experience and this trip was like a completely different place. We spent most of our time meeting characters, walking around the parks, eating in restaurants, enjoying character meals and resting in our room. We didn’t even get chance to go swimming!

Besides the change in age, I completely underestimated how big the expansion would be. Between 2025 and 2026 Walt Disney Studios changed it’s name to Adventure World and added some new attractions, a giant lake complete with walk, Adventure Way, not to mention the incredible Frozenland too. I knew it was all there, it was the main reason for going back so soon – But I didn’t quite realise how much time we’d spend in this park!

Just look at the difference in maps! Glad I held on to my paper copy from last year for comparison. What a major change in such a short space of time!

There are so many things we thought we’d do but ran out of time for. In hindsight, I wish we’d have added an extra day whilst she was under 3. We had the time but I just didn’t think we’d need it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

No point dwelling on what could have been so let’s look at what we did do! Over the next few weeks i’ll be writing up my Disney Diary just like last year. I enjoyed writing this last time and it’s been a great keepsake for me to look back on. Hopefully my daughter will too when she’s older. If you’d like to give any of my posts a read you can do so below. Particularly useful if you plan to visit Disneyland Paris with a baby or toddler.
