Budget-friendly family fun at None Go Bye Farm

This week I headed to a local farm shop, None Go Bye Farm, in West Yorkshire close to Leeds-Bradford airport.

It was an impromptu visit on a sunny spring day with my sister and toddler.

We’d never been before but i’d only heard good things! None Go Bye Farm Shop is exactly what it sounds like – It’s a shop on a farm. But what’s lovely about this place is for just a small entrance fee, you can visit all the animals.

We paid a whopping £1 each to go visit the farm and that even included a bag of food for my little one.

Once we’d paid our £1 in the shop we headed outside and followed the clear signs leading to the animals.

Being a farm, it’s obviously predominately outside. So we got lucky visiting on a sunny day where we could enjoy the weather and see all the animals bouncing around!

We wandered around the outside area greeting all the animals but being careful not to get too close to the fences. My daughter is only one and I knew she might lose her tiny fingers if she got too close to the eager little goats!

I also didn’t want her to tantrum as I knew she would if the little duck beaks managed to nip her!

There were signs telling us not to hand feed the animals but actually to throw the food in. This proved tricky as the food kept hitting the fences and bouncing back! It made for a fun game but i’m not sure the animals were too impressed with my toddlers terrible teasing throws!

The beautiful donkeys were our favourite and one started braying so loudly it actually scared my daughter because she’d never heard a noise like it before!

There were alpacas, ducks, chickens, sheep, donkeys and many many goats – But we never did find the pig pen!

It was bigger than I expected for £1 but still a small place. With it being so local to us I look forward to stopping by to see the animals more often especially as my daughter grows up.

After we’d walked the loop around the fields we headed in to the polytunnel where we were greeted by even more animals!

This time we met adorable newborns!

I really had to watch her fingers in this space as she wanted to meet them all! I don’t blame her, they were very cute. We even saw a baby goat that had managed to escape it’s pen and wander close by before being safely popped back in.

In here we couldn’t feed the animals which was fine. We found Shetland pony’s, rabbits, guinea pigs and lambs in addition to the animals I’ve already mentioned. A great variety across the farm. I am sure we even spotted wallabies in the corner but since there was no signs anywhere across the farm I wouldn’t like to say for sure that’s what they were! Haha

This place is absolutely brilliant for an easy and quick family day out, especially if you live close by. It didn’t cost much to visit and we really enjoyed our time here. I am sure we will visit again soon!

  1. What a lovely day out! None Go Bye Farm sounds like a real hidden gem – so much fun for just £1, and perfect for little ones to safely enjoy the animals. I love how hands-on (yet still careful) the experience was, and it’s great that there was such a variety to see, even some possible mystery wallabies! Thanks for sharing – definitely adding it to our list for a family visit soon.

Do they have any picnic spots or places to grab a snack on-site?

    • Thank you! They do yes 😊 They have a picnic bench outside the shop and some grass. They also have a play area for kids inside which is surrounded by tables! Not sure if they sell drinks too, quite possibly!

      • That sounds perfect — especially the play area with tables nearby, such a win for keeping little ones entertained while grown-ups take a breather! We’ll definitely pack a few snacks just in case, but it’s great to know there’s space to sit and relax. Thanks again for the helpful tips, Sophie! 😊
