For the past few years I have been planning to visit Austria. It has always been pushed to the side for various reasons. Last year I decided, since I had a new job and the budget to go anywhere, that I would go somewhere epic. That’s why I travelled to Thailand. So I decided that this year would be the year id go to Austria.

The thing is with my Austria trip- its not like a normal trip I go on like all the other European trips I go on.. Otherwise I’d have gone already! It actually requires quite a large budget and often I end up going further afield for the same price.

I want to visit Salzburg and do the sound of music tour. I love cycling and love the film, it’s such a dream of mine! However, flights are a bit awkward. They’re quite costly and it’s awkward to get to Salzburg. So with the advice of my dad I came up with a plan. I will fly to Vienna and spend 3 nights in the country’s capital before heading to my destination. After doing my thing I will then head to Munich in Germany and fly home from there. I’ve never visited Germany before so I’m definitely up for that!

So that’s my Austria plan. I’ve blogged about it on here now so that I never lose sight of this idea. It’s up there with Australia and China.. Although not quite as high 😉

The reason why I’m writing about this now..

I will not be visiting Austria this year, next year or even the year after by that matter. I figured it isn’t going anywhere so I’m sure Austria will wait for me to return.
