Last week I went to Wilson’s, the famous ice cream place of DC, with my host mom. She wanted to meet up with me and go for food then watch the sunset.

It was really nice as we got to know each other and she told me a lot about her life. I was sad to hear that her son was an alcoholic and it killed him, a topic that was brought up after I was talking about the people around me unfortunately.

She was very sweet and even paid the bill! Which I wasn’t expecting, I tried to offer her the money but I think she likes to be the mom lol

I hope to get the chance to go horse riding with her before returning home, and hopefully we can arrange something to do for my birthday that’s in 2 weeks.
