Time seems to be going really fast now. I’m enjoying work and enjoying getting into a routine because I feel like it will prepare me for what’s to come when I get back to England. I also am getting used to the nice lump sum of money I get every fortnight 😉

Today is payday! So I went to cash my cheque at the bank on my 4 hour break from work. One thing I did notice is that they actually pay me for 40 hours when I only work 39! This is better than it sounds. It just means I technically get to treat myself to a free dinner every week.. I can take it every Friday on my split shift 😀 So today I went to Stillwaters Grill (where they have the really yum burgers I get Tuesday nights..) and I had cheese curds ❤ They are like mozerella sticks except in Wisconsin they’re local and you can get them without the breadcrumbs.

In other news, I got a payrise! My boss said i’ve been doing a good job and I earned it so now starting today I will be earning 50c more an hour. Which actually does add up.. It pays for one of my hotels on my September trip everytime I get paid 🙂

I can’t believe it’s nearly July. On Wednesday I actually have exactly just 3 months left in the States, including my travel period! So even less time left in Door County. Don’t know where the time has gone.

I’m sure by the end of it i’ll be glad just to get home but at the moment i’m happy saving all I can for my travel period. With the lack of costs to get anywhere here, i’m finding it incredibly easier to save than I expected.. Really looking forward to the trip 😀
