My name is Sophie and I have a passion for travelling.
I’ve always loved travelling up and down the country of England but a few years ago I discovered how much I loved to explore other countries and different cultures too. That brings me to where I am now. I am a writer keen to talk, advise, discuss and plan everything to do with travelling and I tend to do this in the form of blogging.
This blog will feature stories of my travel tales and articles written by me all related to my journey. I’ve yet to decide what kind of content I will be publishing on here and what I will be leaving for my professional portfolio but if you’re interested in following the journey of a young solo traveller then continue to read on.
I am currently 22 years old and my adventure started when I was just 14. I used to visit cities all over the country via train and coach. Often I was travelling to attend music concerts but I always traveled solo and loved visiting places i’d never been before.
Moving on from England I’ve visited various places in Europe. Unfortunately I’ve not visited enough places in my view. However, this is sure to change over the next few years. So besides the obvious (England, Scotland and Wales), so far I’ve visited The Netherlands, France, Holland, Greece and Spain.
For the last few years I’ve been spending all my cash on visiting the United States of America. I first visited back in 2005 with my family; we went to Florida. Since then I have funded all my own travel whilst studying for my degree and working part time. Through hard work, I have had the pleasure to work in Florida over the summer, spend my 21st birthday in New York City and celebrate my dad’s 50th in Las Vegas.

I love visiting the States but do plan to stop and move on to other areas of the World after this year. I’ll always be open for going back when the offer comes up but there are so many more places I have on my wish list.
To mark the end of my State splurge. I will be embarking on a huge adventure this upcoming May. After visiting New York once more and before heading up to Canada; I will be living in California for 4 months this summer.
This blog will document my travel experiences and reviews. For a full itinerary of where I will be visiting you will soon be able to find a link to it on the navigation bar.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy.
