Following on from the busy morning we’d already had today, we still had plenty more to explore. Read about the start of our day below:

It was nearing 4pm and we had only an hour before our booked table reservation at PYM Kitchen. We could see Elsa’s Ice Palace in the distance so began to finally head towards the brand new World of Frozen. We’d waited all day for this!

As we started walking we found ourselves in a brand new part of the park that despite visiting for the 4th time, i’d never been here. This is because thanks to the new expansion, there is an amazing new man-made lake. The view is incredible and Adventure Bay is really a breathtaking sight for those of us who have seen what the park was like as Studios. What a transformation!

As we headed for the ice, we were distracted by the sound of music playing. A very unusual sound but very familiar Disney songs. A man stood with an instrument that i’d never seen before so can’t even tell you what it was. He fed it notes and it played them… It sounded so unique and we stopped so my toddler and husband could have a little dance. It was honestly one of my favourite memories from our recent trip and the best video I have of them both dancing along to Lion King tunes. It was a lovely moment and really just an example of some of the unexpected magic Disneyland can have to offer.

I’ll never forget this moment and it was not something that could ever be planned. Sometimes you’re just in the right mood, in the right place at the right time.

We realised quickly just how large the lake was at Adventure Bay and decided now wasn’t the best time to visit The World of Frozen for our first time. It would be too rushed or we would miss our dinner reservation. So we headed back towards Avengers Campus ready to eat. On our walk back we saw people gathering along Adventure Way. Turns out they were waiting for Minnie’s Marching Band. We saw her last year multiple times in Disneyland Park and our 2 year old absolutely loved it! So we stuck around and watched a few songs as she marched down Adventure Way.

We had a little bit of time before our reservation and in true poorly-timed fashion, Hilda decided to fall asleep in her pram. Luckily we had this small stretch of time but it still wasn’t enough for a full nap and we knew we’d have to wake her before dinner because Disney don’t allow prams in their restaurants. Typical! I decided to head for Avengers Assemble to ride the fast rollercoaster whilst she slept. Unfortunately single rider was closed so I wandered back to my husband only to find a huge gathering of people starting to form. We got extremely lucky being in the right place at the right time once again to find ourselves at the very front of Dancing with Deadpool. This was a show we’d wanted to see but couldn’t find the timings. We got lucky with this one!

He rode in on a unicorn, spoke mostly French and overall, it was probably one of the weirdest things I’ve seen. After disembarking the unicorn, Deadpool started to dance and get the audience involved. Luckily Hilda was asleep as i’m not sure what she would have thought about this. She slept through it all and we told her about it afterwards. Every so often she’ll say to us – I slept through Deadpool. Maybe it was for the best!

Earlier that day, I had joined a virtual queue to meet Anna & Elsa of Arendelle. This character meet was due to take place within World of Frozen at a set time once my queue had reached zero. How it works is you join the queue at a certain time in the day and then the Disneyland App counts down the minutes whilst you go about your day. You don’t know how long you’ll have to wait and once the timer gets close to zero you need to head towards the meet. Of course our time had ticked by and was due to run out as soon as we were to head for dinner… Typical!

So we got to PYM kitchen, an American style buffet located on Avengers Campus and themed like Marvel’s Ant-Man. We actually visited this same restaurant last year and i’m going to write a seperate review for the place on my blog shortly – Stay tuned!

We enjoyed another great meal here but I watched the timer expire for our character meet and there was nothing I could do about it. It was a real shame and did put a bit of a downer on our dining. However, I knew we’d be heading to the World of Frozen next and for now I just tried to enjoy our first dinner in the parks. We ate our weight in dessert and definitely made it worthwhile!

With full bellies we headed on to World of Frozen. It was finally time to head to the one place that was the main reason for booking to return to Disneyland so soon! World of Frozen only opened in March 2026 so it’s brand new and the biggest expansion Disneyland Paris has seen in many years. It’s a very exciting time to visit the park and we were so glad to be able to go in its opening year!

Heading back along Adventure Way, I made the plan to head straight for the Anna & Elsa meet. Whilst my virtual queue had timed out and said we’d missed our slot I figured we had nothing to lose by explaining the situation. Dinner reservations are booked months in advance and if you miss them, you’re unlikely to be able to eat in a restaurant – So it was a gamble we didn’t want to take.

With our little one dressed as a mini Elsa it probably helped the situation. What cast member would turn away the cutest tiny Elsa from meeting Elsa!? So we got lucky with a friendly cast member who spoke to the right people and they let us in.

We entered the castle in Arendelle and I loved the decor inside. I’ve never done a character meet before and didn’t realise they decorate the area so well. I shouldn’t have been surprised really – It’s Disney after all! Going into the castle was an experience in itself. From the offset we saw all the portraits from the movie… hang in there Joan!

The pictures were lovely and I enjoyed being in the castle just for the experience before we’d even got as far as the character meet!

When it was time to meet Anna and Elsa I didn’t know what to expect. I was a little worried about what on earth we’d say. I needn’t worry though because this wasn’t an issue. To begin with, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna waved to Hilda then called her over. She was a little shy so Anna came over and walked her over holding her hand, it was adorable.

Hilda stood for ages with them both and I’ll never know what they talked about. I’ll always wonder what they might have been saying and what she would have been thinking because I know she said barely a word in response. I just loved to watch the interaction, it was very cute.

She was in startled mode so we wandered over and got some pictures together. Even though she doesn’t look too happy in the photos I know she absolutely loved the experience and she still talks about it now over a month later. I think she will never forget meeting Anna and Elsa – Or as she calls them – Her best friends.

On a high from meeting Princess Anna and the Queen of Arendelle Castle, we headed straight for her Ice Palace to go on the brand new Frozen ride for the first time. This was probably the thing I was most excited for this whole trip! Especially since I’d heard about it having a surprisingly large unexpected drop. A lot of people were sharing ride photos online of their kids terrified faces and I couldn’t wait to see Hilda’s reaction. Cruel parenting, I know!

The ride queue was showing at 35 minutes which was nothing compared to the 90 i’d seen it at previously. So we headed inside and admired the attention to detail once again. A fast pass to skip queues is a great time saving tool but it does mean you often miss these hidden gems. The queue was beautiful inside as it took you through Elsa’s ice palace. We had fun saying Yoo Hoo as we spotted Oaken’s Cloakens too. Yoohoo big summer blowout!

The ride of course, was a beautiful display. I’ve never been on any Frozen ride because this one is brand new this year. The Frozen rides elsewhere didn’t exist when I last visited since Frozen hadn’t even been created yet! So I was really soaking up a new part of Disney i’d never seen before.

The ride was fun and different to the others with a unique twist I won’t spoilt. Definitely not your average kiddy ride. Hilda did tell us she wasn’t scared though and her ride photo wasn’t half as entertaining as her Pirates ride photos so i’ll believe her. I think if anything, it was us that look terrified!

When we finally finished in the World of Frozen we started to feel a little… Frozen. After last year we got used to the Paris heat wave. We packed for Florida vibes! What we weren’t prepared for was the wind chill and rain that followed us from England.

Now felt like the natural time to head back to the hotel. We decided to take a recess and wander the 30 minutes back to our room at Sequoia Lodge. Being able to walk back to our hotel is such a blessing but also it can be a curse because we lose so much park time every time we do this. The temptation to go back is too strong and often we end up wasting so much time taking the break. This was one of those occasions.

When we left to head back it was pushing 9pm. I couldn’t believe how much time had flown by. By the time we’d thrown on our raincoats, got wrapped up warm and headed out of the hotel it was gone 10pm. It’s amazing how late it can be yet you still have so much energy to do so much more when at Disney. Always planning what else you can squeeze in way past your normal routines bedtime! The concept of time completely changes.

2 days of Disneyland and we’d somehow not even seen the castle yet. It was time to finally venture over to the original – Disneyland Park. As much as i’d enjoyed the new Adventure World, something just didn’t quite feel right without experiencing the true magic you get from seeing the castle for the first time. So off we ventured in to Disneyland Park for the nighttime spectacular firework display.

I always feel like I’m at Disney when I walk down Main Street. It’s like anything else doesn’t count! I definitely thought we should have headed here earlier but alas, now was the time.

It was truly unusual heading here in the dark but slightly exciting knowing we were walking in for the last show of the evening.

We didn’t have much time so we figured we’d watch the fireworks from the same spot we did last year at Discoveryland. In the same land is the Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast ride. We rode this last year with Hilda late at night and she was so zoned out as we went around. This ride involves you shooting at aliens and all sorts whilst spinning around in the dark. It’s pretty intense for late at night and especially for a tired toddler. We made the same mistake again this time riding so late but we can’t resist the short queues at this time. The ride photo told us we had a very sleepy but startled toddler. Even if the ride doesn’t wake you up with it’s bright colours, the queue for the ride definitely will!

After Buzz we headed for the fireworks show. We weren’t quite feeling up for this with the weather as it was. The show hasn’t changed since we last came but they have removed the drones to add them to the other park so if anything the show has got a downgrade.

Hilda was so tired she fell asleep very quickly, in fact if I remember right she asked to get in to her pram! Which is very unlike her. So we watched the show for a little while and then started to head towards the exit to miss the rush of people leaving. I love this part of the night where all the shops are quiet because everybody is stood watching the show.

Distracted by shopping, we didn’t beat the rush but instead got caught up in it. For the first time ever I saw Mickey Mouse at the exit waving everybody goodbye. I’ve heard of him doing this and yet i’ve never seen it in all my Disney days! It was a fun end to our day and I was impressed at how long he actually stuck around entertaining the crowds.

After waving goodbye to Mickey we took the opportunity to get some photos infront of the castle. It was weird seeing it all so quiet because the majority had already left and it was much quieter than usual with the rain. Hilda was fast asleep in her pram so we enjoyed our first evening in Disneyland Park and felt thankful that we still had plenty of days left to enjoy our adventure.

When heading back to our hotel I came across some markers on the floor that I’d never noticed before. There was a plaque for each Disney park telling you what year it opened and how far away it is from that very spot.

It was at this very moment I realised what my Bucketlist looked like after all. It’s never been about how many countries I tick off or what experiences I could try. There is nothing that would bring me more joy than visiting all the Disney Parks! So I re-wrote my Bucketlist here and now.

There are 12 Disney Parks across 6 resorts. So far I have visited 8 Disney Parks across 3 resorts. I think it’s time to get planning some exciting trips..
